A Man Kidnapped and Raped a 5-Year-Old Georgia Girl. This Is When He’ll Die

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has scheduled the execution of Jeremy Williams, a man convicted in the kidnapping, sexual assault, and killing of a 5-year-old girl from Georgia.

Williams, now 40 years old, was sentenced to death after being found guilty on four counts of capital murder in connection with the December 2021 death of Kamarie Holland.

According to the governor’s execution order, Williams is set to be executed by lethal injection on Thursday, August 13.

Williams Has Been on Death Row Since 2024

Williams has spent the past two years on death row following his 2024 trial. Although he pleaded guilty to the charges, Alabama law requires a jury verdict in any case where prosecutors seek the death penalty.

Because of that requirement, the case still proceeded to trial. Jurors deliberated for about 90 minutes before finding Williams guilty on all charges.

Kamarie Holland Reported Missing in December 2021

Kamarie’s mother reported her missing on December 13, 2021. Investigators later said the case revealed that Kristy Siple had trafficked her daughter to Williams in exchange for money.

Prosecutors said Williams sexually assaulted and strangled the child. His guilty plea and later jury conviction led to the death sentence.

Victim Impact Statement Read at Sentencing

Before Williams was formally sentenced in 2024, Kamarie’s father read victim impact statements in court.

According to WTVM, he addressed Williams directly, saying Williams did not deserve life after what happened to Kamarie. He said the family no longer had Kamarie, and Williams did not deserve to see his own children or continue living his life.

Jeremy Williams is scheduled to be executed on August 13 after being convicted in the kidnapping, sexual assault, and murder of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland. The case, which began with her disappearance in December 2021, led to a guilty plea, a required jury trial, and a death sentence. Alabama officials have now moved forward with setting his execution date by lethal injection.
